As a blogger I need to have an eye for fashion so I can share ideas with my readers. Today I looked at a gorgeous scarf given to me by a designer friend and thought how it just sits in my closet because of the summer heat and decided to get my creativity flowing. I managed to turn a plain old scarf into, not just one but two, simple summer inspired tops.
For the first look I took the top left and right corners of the scarf and loosely tied them together around the neck. I then took the bottom corners and tied them tightly around the stomach, just above the belly button. This simple DIY design creates a halterneck and back out top that can be worn with a long flowing skirt for a Boho Chic feel or with a pair of jeans.
The second top was pretty simple. I basically took the scarf around the bust area and made a knot to give the illusion of a loose bow. This would look ideal with a skirt or a pair of shorts relaxed near the pool on a hot summer afternoon.
So ladies go through your old scarfs and see what you come up with, it's really easy. I would love to see how you creative my readers are so feel free to email me your pictures.
